DESCRIPTION:A dedicated volunteer team has made the Victory Community Garden  a beautiful and productive space. \nAt the occasion of Climate Action Week\, Nadia\, Community Kai Coordinator\, is organising a Garden Tour to take place on Monday afternoon from 1.30pm to 2.30pm. \nThe tour will be followed by the regular working bees happening on an ongoing basis every Mondays (please double check beforehand). \nThis is the perfect occasion to be part of the action\, learn from other experienced gardeners how to grow your own food (and actually grow it!) \nIf you’ve never been to the garden before it is approximately 200 metres along the Railway Reserve from the junction between St Vincent & Totara Street. DESCRIPTION:Come along on Friday afternoons for Plant Care Sessions with the Friends of the Maitai. \nWe will be at Groom Creek just before the Maitai Campground. Park and cross the river\, you will see a beautiful field of trees. \nWe will carry on mulching and weeding of existing plants\, and do a small amount of planting. \nBring: weather suitable clothes\, sturdy footwear\, insect repellent\, gardening gloves if you have them and a drink bottle. \nIts a great way to start the weekend.
