DESCRIPTION:Dr. Rod Carr is the inaugural chair of the Climate Change Commission (2019-2024)\, former Vice Chancellor of University of Canterbury (2009-2019) and one-time Reserve Bank Deputy Governor (1998-2003) and independent director and board chair of the Bank (2012-2017). \nRod has a PhD in Insurance and Risk Management\, MA in Applied Economics and Managerial Science\, an MBA in Money and Financial Markets\, an LLB (Hons) and BCom (Hons). \nOver 45 years he has advised six different governments on public policy relating to education\, health\, financial services\, macro economics\, financial system stability\, the science system and disaster response and recovery.
