Schools\, Early Childhood Education providers and community are invited to learn more about Garden to Table’s four pou of Grow\, Harvest\, Prepare\, Share. Become inspired to introduce the Garden to Table programme at your school or ECE! \nThis integrated food curriculum programme supports teachers to give tamariki authentic learning experiences through active participation in garden and kitchen contexts.  The Garden to Table members website offers loads of integrated curriculum resources\, recipes and activities for teachers. \n\n\nStudents love Garden to Table! This is a chance to apply learning to real-life situations that teach students resiliency skills that have a transformative and lifelong impact. \n  \n\nThis event is part of Climate Action Festival 2025. SUMMARY:Garden Potions for Thriving Soil
DESCRIPTION:  \n \n\nLearn to make plant potions in this family and teacher-friendly workshop by Garden to Table\, a food curriculum program for schools to engage in growing\, harvesting\, preparing\, and sharing kai. \nWe’ll talk about soil microorganisms and learn how the soil food web plays a role in Carbon sequestration. We’ll make some plant potions for winter feeding and find a lens to imagine the unseen microbial world. \n\nRegenerative Gardening is Climate Action! It’s possible to grow and harvest kai while enhancing ecosystem function and increasing carbon storage. Garden to Table teaches resiliency skills\, equipping the next generation with a deep connection and understanding of Te Taio. \nTo register\, please email Prashanti@gardentotable.org.nz.
