This Bill purported to focus on grocery competition and technical and machinery changes to the Fast Track Approvals Act. In reality, it sought to constrain further the already highly constrained level of community participation under the Act, risking substantially impacting the quality of decision-making. Many of the projects whose passage could be facilitated by this Bill will have long-term and often permanent impacts on our environment and future generations (who have no voice).
