Kia ora e hoa,
We’re excited you’re thinking about offering an event at the next Climate Action Festival, going from the 18th to the 26th of September.
Before you dive in, please check out the Event Host Information Guide. It’s packed with everything you need to know about becoming an event host, including the ways we can support you—both financially and logistically—to bring your event to life.
To be included in the 2026 programme, your event should align with the festival’s purpose: bringing people together to act for sustainable, low-emissions, and regenerative living.
Here are a few important details:
- Application deadline for the first round is at noon on 17th of July 2026. If space is still available after that, we’ll open a second round.
- Submit a separate form for each different event.
- If your event happens on multiple days, you only need to submit one form.
- Events must be organised by the person applying.
- Hosts are responsible for doing a health and safety risk assessment (we can help with this), and for doing their best to support our climate goals—like reducing waste.
- By applying, you agree to let us promote your event in the official programme and through our marketing channels.
- We aim to offer a diverse and exciting lineup! Final event selection is up to the Nelson Tasman Climate Forum. We’ll consider:
- how well your event matches community interest,
- its uniqueness, and
- whether the format or venue suits your event,
- its potential to contribute to sustainability and lower emissions.

Ngā mihi and we can’t wait to see you at the festival.
