Motueka Community Film Circle – The Eternal Song – Motueka

October 22 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
$14

Join the Motueka Community Film Circle for a screening of The Eternal Song, a documentary about the healing power of Indigenous cultures around the world.

For thousands of years, Indigenous peoples lived in deep connection with the earth, while stewarding ancestral land and wisdom. Narratives of colonialism, capitalism and individualism have fostered a modern mindset that emphasised our separation from the earth, each other and the ancestral realm.

In 2022, a film crew set out to document the impact of colonisation on Indigenous communities. The Eternal Song is the first of 12 feature-length documentaries that reveal the inner life of these cultures around the globe.

This film is a cinematic journey through timeless lands and indigenous cultures, inviting us all – both indigenous and coloniser – to heal and find connection.

The film will begin at 7pm sharp (doors open at 6.30pm) and will be followed by a 30-60 minute facilitated group conversation.
