The Climate Action Festival is excited to bring you the Aotearoa New Zealand premiere of The New Peasants by Happen Films.

The New Peasants is an intimate portrait of a family—Meg, Patrick, Zephyr, and Woody—who for two decades have chosen to step away from modern industrial culture to live a radically simple, sustainable, and intentional life. The film offers a moving glimpse into the challenges and joys of their daily lives and highlights how transformative change can begin at home and in community, and that each of us has a role to play in creating a better future.

Join us from 6:15pm — doors open early so you can grab a drink, enjoy a tasty pre-film bite, and explore local groups taking action on climate.

The film begins at 7:00pm, followed by a live Q&A with the featured family, joining us via Zoom from Australia.
