Learn how to make compost!

3 June 2023 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

The Nelson Tasman Climate Forum  is offering  a 2 hour workshop on planning and building a compost heap on site.

The Tutor is Rex Hunt who has run an organic plant nursery since 1980 and has focussed on making his own compost.

Rex has both 1 and 3 year old compost heaps to demonstrate how they change over time, sequester carbon and remain aerobic.

We will also build one ourselves at the Workshop. This is an interactive hands- on Workshop where you will learn to construct one yourself using local and seasonal materials to enrich soil life and produce  healthy chemical free food for your family.
