The Motueka Community Film Circle is excited to bring you the The Man Who Saves the World?, by Gabe Polsky.

Blending cinematic depth with documentary realism, the film tells the remarkable true story of Stanislav Petrov, the Soviet officer whose calm judgement during a tense Cold War moment may have prevented a nuclear catastrophe.

Spanning continents and guided by prophecy and passion, this film explores the impact one ordinary person can have on the course of world events, and invites us to question not only the future of the planet, but our role in shaping it.

The film will begin at 7pm sharp, and will be followed by a discussion about our own capacity to shape the world we want and the part each of us has in creating a better future.
